On January 8, 2024, the institute proudly welcomed the 12 courageous 'Silkyara Saviours' who played a pivotal role in rescuing 41 workers during the Uttarkashi Tunnel Rescue. The session aimed to honour and gain insights into the experiences of these remarkable individuals. The interaction with the Silkyara Saviours made a lasting impression on both the students and staff of IGI. In candid discussions, they openly shared their emotional and professional experiences from the rescue operation. The stories recounted by the Silkyara Saviours not only served as a source of inspiration for the students but also fostered values of resilience, confidence, team spirit and empathy.
